A collection of modular furniture designed byENRIQUE MARTI ASOCIADOS, which combines modern design with versatile arrangement. Rounded shapes and flexible configurations allow for the creation of unique compositions, from classic sofas to imaginative shapes such as waves or the letter S. Domani fits perfectly into a variety of spaces, from cozy living rooms to exclusive hotel lobbies.

Enrique Martí, a Valencian engineer and designer who honed his craft as head of the design department at Andreu World, has been saying for years that "first, the story must be created, and only then the furniture."

When in 2023 Befame invited him to create a collectionDomani("tomorrow" in Italian), Martí began with hundreds of freeform sketches of undulating lines, wanting to capture the movement and change inherent in contemporary, open-plan living rooms. Before a single frame board was constructed, he transferred the drawings to 1:10 scale foam models, which he cut, glued, and bent, testing the balance between straight and bean-shaped elements until he achieved a layout that allowed him to create waves, S-shaped shapes, and complete semicircles.

When he deemed the proportions perfect, the first full-size model was created in the Befame prototyping workshop in Bielsko-Biała: a beech frame, sinuous springs and multi-layer HR foam, which the team "camped" for entire weekends to ensure that it absorbed the body like a cloud but returned to form like a precision instrument.

The final system is28 carefully profiled modules– from simple seats to arched corners – connected with tool-free clamps that allow you to transform a sofa into an island in an hour, and an island into a cinema amphitheater.

Such a sculptural shape required a "clothing" with a distinctive texture: Martí's first choice was boucléTisso– a pressed, shiny yarn with an unusual twist, created specifically for large, softly rounded shapes.

For arrangements that prefer satin softness, bouclé has been preparedManza: looped jacquard in a palette of beige and gray with accents of gold and chocolate, soft to the touch and durable thanks to Magic Home technologies. Both fabrics are coated with a hydrophobic finish, allowing spilled coffee to pearl off the surface instead of soaking into the pile – a cloth and a little water are enough to restore the furniture to its like-new appearance.

That's how it was bornDomani: a landscape sofa in which each arc remembers the first, spontaneous line from the Valencian sketchbook, and each module gives the user the freedom to compose their own "tomorrow" in the interior.
