The coffee table should be adapted to the size of the room so that it does not disrupt the circulation routes. When choosing its height, you should be guided by the height of the sofa. We recommend that it be lower than the seat of the sofa, from which we can conveniently place a cup or plate on its top.
What shape of coffee table will be best?
Another important feature is the shape. When choosing it, we should be guided by the appearance of the furniture we already have. In an interior where children spend time, we recommend a round or oval coffee table without sharp edges.
Coffee table – what material works best?
Common materials on the market are: glass, wood and the more elegant marble, which has recently become increasingly popular. Before choosing, it is worth considering the function that the table is to fulfill in order to choose the right finish. The durability of individual materials and methods of their maintenance should be taken into account in particular. In the case when it is a rarely used element, on which we occasionally place a cup of coffee, then we can afford to use more fragile components. We should make a completely different choice when we treat the table as the focal point of the room during meetings with friends or playing with children. On the other hand, if the most important thing for you is the effect, you can afford designer coffee tables made of, for example, natural stone or glass.
