CLEANING A TENCEL CARPET

TENCEL CARPET CARE

1. Vacuum regularly with a nozzle without a brush, moving in the direction of the hair.
2. Tencel fibers are naturally shiny and smooth to the touch, so the suction power when vacuuming should not be too high to avoid excessive slippage of the bristles from the fleece.
3. A natural characteristic of Tencel rugs is pilling, or the shedding of fibers from the pile. This pilling process can be particularly pronounced in rugs with a sheared pattern and pile heights that vary.
4. Some fibers may extend halfway down. These fibers should be trimmed with scissors.
5. Tencel fiber reacts poorly to water and liquids. Spills should be immediately blotted up with a paper towel or a moisture-absorbent cloth. Then, lift the pile with your fingers, straighten it, and arrange it in the same direction as the rest of the carpet's dry pile. Tencel fibers that are not straightened and arranged properly may remain in their original position as they dry. The pile in the area of ​​a spill/stain may change its elasticity and reflect light differently after cleaning with water and drying. Therefore, the area after the water-cleaned stain may differ in appearance from the rest of the carpet. This is a natural characteristic of Tencel products. Therefore, only professional carpet cleaning is permitted at establishments experienced in cleaning viscose carpets, usually using the dry method.
6. If the carpet gets wet, dry it flat in a well-ventilated room or outdoors in favorable weather conditions.
7. To avoid creasing the fleece, move the furniture periodically.
8. Do not use chemicals or bleach.
9. Exposure to sunlight may cause the carpet to fade. Avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight.

Because rugs made with Tencel fiber are naturally resilient, this is normal and not subject to warranty claims.
