CLEANING WOOL CARPETS

WOOL CARPET CARE

Vacuum gently with a nozzle without a brush, using short strokes in one direction. Vacuuming with a brush or turbo brush nozzle may increase carpet shedding and prolong the shedding period.
A natural characteristic of wool carpets is the "shedding" of wool during the first few months of use. Shedding will decrease later, but may still occur. This is a natural phenomenon where fibers come out of the carpet and occurs during the use of wool carpets. Shedding is not a basis for a complaint.
A characteristic of wool carpets is pilling, meaning the appearance of small wool balls on the carpet surface. This is a natural phenomenon where individual wool fibers are released from the carpet due to rubbing by feet/furniture and clump together into balls. This is a normal phenomenon that occurs during the daily use of wool carpets. Pilling is not a basis for a complaint. The balls can be removed periodically by hand or with a fabric shaver.
Spilled liquids and dirt should be removed immediately with a paper towel or a highly absorbent cloth, then gently clean the soiled area with a clean cloth dampened with a little cold water and natural soap. Do not allow the carpet to become soaked.
If the carpet gets wet, dry it flat in a well-ventilated room or outdoors in favorable weather conditions.
Do not use chemical agents or bleaches.
To avoid creases in the pile, periodically move furniture.
Exposure of the carpet to sunlight may cause fading. Avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight.

Wool is naturally resistant to dirt and stains due to its natural lanolin content. The carpet will look good for many years with proper care.
Hand-woven wool fiber carpets are characterized by high flexibility. Carpets may change their shape during use. For example, pulling the carpet strongly or moving furniture on the carpet can cause it to change shape. This change is reversible. Since woven wool products are naturally stretchable, this is a normal phenomenon and is not subject to complaint.
Carpets from the Handmade collection are handcrafted, mostly from natural fibers, so each one is original and unique. For this reason, slight differences in color, size, or pattern may occur between them. This is not a basis for a complaint.
